Stéphane Tesan
As a teenager, Stéphane Tesan fell in love with music and books from the 18th and 19th centuries. He surrounded himself with Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Brahms, Da Ponte, Casanova, and Rousseau.
He subsequently studied classical music, tonal harmony, composition, and orchestration at the Conservatoire d'Avignon and Lyon Université Lumière. In addition to composing, he plays classical guitar and piano. His priorities as a composer are harmony, melody, and thematic development, all in a neo-romantic style.
Listing his strongest influences as Brahms and Beethoven, he has composed chamber and orchestral music for symphonic orchestras as well as brass and wind ensembles. He particularly enjoys composing for the voice, including opera arias and symphonic music with choirs and soloists. He recently released an aria 'à la Mozart,' available on his YouTube channel.
