Steven Achilles Brown

Steven Achilles Brown was born in Utah in 1949 and grew up in Nutley, New Jersey. He attended Boston University and Lincoln Technical Institute, earning a degree in electronics and computer science, and after working in the electronics industry, established a computer software business. As an amateur musician, he played jazz piano and later studied music theory, turning to composing serious music for piano. He is quoted saying "For me, composing is an avocation, done not for profit but for love of the art."
