Tim Knight
Born in Northallerton, Tim became a chorister in York Minster Choir under Dr Francis Jackson, with the daily round of choral services exposing him to an immense and diverse repertoire. Tim also studied choral conducting with John Coates and, at the age of 8, composed his first piece of music (a grace for his school which subsequently became used regularly). After many years accruing knowledge, expertise and experience, Tim now enjoys a multi-faceted musical career as:
Composer and Arranger of Choral, Instrumental, Orchestral and Organ music;
Conductor and Choral Director of three Yorkshire choirs, The Heritage Singers and Masterworks Chorale both of which he founded, and Leeds Male Voice Choir, which he grew from just 14 singers to around 60 today;
Author of best-selling 'must-have' choir and concert management books;
Music Publisher of his own portfolio and a number of other Composers;
Keynote speaker, Guest Conductor, Recitalist, Accompanist and Organist;
Over 20 years' experience running Choir tours, Singing Holidays and Choral Workshops;
Teacher and mentor to budding composers, conductors and singers
